Wine Away
It is a rule of life that if you like wine, you will at some point end up wearing it. With that in mind, the folks at Evergreen Labs in Walla Walla have come up with Wine Away.
We gave it a test-run by pouring a sizable glass of Borolo onto a white T-shirt, letting it sit for half an hour, then zapping the stain with Wine Away, as directed, Mirabile dictu - the stuff worked. |

Wine Away
Nothing spoils the experience of a nice glass of wine like seeing its contents spill, almost slow-motion, into an impossible-to-remove stain on your shirt or table linens. Bit fear no more.
We tested Wine Away, a citrus-scented laundry spray made from fruit and vegetable extracts, by shamelessly chucking a nice glass of Barolo all over a white button-down shirt. A few spritzes, a spin in the washer, and the shirt emerged as white as ever. Wine Away works on spills that have already dried, too. |

Stain Removers
It's the bane of any self-respecting host or hostel: Red wine stain on their brilliant white tablecloth or beige Berber rug.
Happily, a product that works wonders, it's called Wine Away. It is available from Evergreen Labs, and you can find it at most wine accessories Web sites, and many house ware stores.
Use a cloth or paper towel to blot up the excess spilled wine; then douse the area with Wine Away. Wait a minute or two and blot again with a clean paper towel. Magically the stain will be gone!

"Not that I am a skeptic or anything, but that's how I approached Wine Away. It claims to remove most red wine stains from carpets and fabric . Uh huh. Having done my fair share of spilling red wine on and or over just about every surface --and know that nothing gets a red wine stain out completely - I figured it'd live up to my already tried and true stain-removing remedies and be just another "almost."
"Well, my friends, this stuff truly is a miracle
It really does work! I used it on everything - clothing, carpets - the stain was history,
it even removed red wine stains from our carpets that were made three years ago when a quake rattled a few bottles off our tasting racks." |

Erase stains with a spritz of Wine Away
That white Juicy Couture jacket makes you look so sexy. The half glass of Cloudline
Pinot Noir you just spilled on it? Not so stylish.
What's a klutz to do? Spray it out with Wine Away red wine stain remover. This cleaner
will remove red wine stains from carpets and other fabrics, including white table linens
and new jackets.
The cleaner is made from fruit and vegetable extracts -- not bleach -- so it's safe around
children and pets. Plus, it has a nice citrus scent.
Recommended by people who pour -- and occasionally spill. Wine Away is said to
work on other tough stains, including coffee, chocolate, berries, tomatoes and ink. |

"Picture it: .. I'm dragged, almost kicking and screaming onto the dance
floor to celebrate the conclusion of Cape Wine 2002
my
assailant ignores my protestations

liberally squirted, but the stains disappeared. It worked."
